AI Stack for Executive Marketing Dashboards

Salesforce + GA4 + ad platforms → Claude → Looker Studio dashboard + automated Slack summary

The executive dashboard problem isn't building the dashboard — it's keeping it current and adding the layer of context that makes the numbers meaningful to someone who isn't in the data every day. Numbers without narrative create questions, not confidence. This stack handles both: connect Salesforce, GA4, and your ad platforms to Looker Studio for the live data layer, then run the same data through Claude weekly to produce the narrative summary that tells leadership what the numbers mean, what changed, and what decisions are pending.

The Prompt

This stack is built around the Exec Summary Generator Prompt. Here's the abbreviated version — the full prompt with all variables and usage notes is on its own page.

Claude Prompt — Abbreviated
You are a B2B marketing analyst preparing an executive dashboard summary.

Review the cross-channel performance data below — pipeline, paid media, and web analytics.
Produce a structured executive summary: what the numbers show, what changed vs. last week,
what is on track vs. off track against targets, and what decisions or escalations are needed.
Keep it to five paragraphs maximum. Write for a CMO who has 90 seconds.

The Workflow

  1. Connect data sources to Looker Studio

Set up Looker Studio with native connectors for Salesforce, GA4, and your ad platforms. Build the live dashboard first — this is the always-on layer that refreshes automatically throughout the week.

  2. Set up a weekly Google Sheets export for Claude

Schedule a weekly export of the same data to Google Sheets every Monday morning. This becomes your Claude input — raw enough to analyze but structured enough to paste directly.

  3. Run through the Exec Summary Generator prompt

Paste the weekly export into Claude with executive dashboard framing. Add any context Claude won't have from the data alone — strategic initiatives in progress, known anomalies, decisions pending.

  4. Review and finalize the narrative

Claude produces a five-paragraph executive summary. Review for accuracy, adjust any numbers or framing that needs correction, and add a specific decision or action item for the week.

  5. Post to Slack and link to the live dashboard

Send the Claude summary to your executive Slack channel on Monday morning. Include the Looker Studio link so leadership can drill down. The dashboard refreshes throughout the week on its own.
